In social studies this term we have been learning about migration. Migration is when you move from one place to another, there are many types of migration like internal migration. This is when you move within your country, external migration is when you move to another country. This is my understanding of migration. My understanding of a place is a particular point in a location. Change is when you make something or someone different or new, in a good or bad way. All these concepts all relate because these are all part of migrating. You have to move to a place, you have to change to feel at home or just because it's another home. Refugees are one similar factor as well as the maoris moving to New Zealand. I found this topic challenging because we had to write blogs and big paragraphs that were confusing and challenging. The activities we have been doing have supported me a lot with my learning like the refugee simulator game we played and all the other things I have blog posted about this year. Learning about migration has really helped me and I can't wait till I get older.
